Jon and Elizabeth's Wedding

We have to apologize as it has been a while since we last updated the blog. It hasn't been from lack of activity though! Last weekend we flew to DC for Jon and Elizebeth's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing many Denison and DC friends and especially seeing Grandma and Grandpa Machak who drove down from Ohio to see their grandson.

Getting ready to go to the rehearsal dinner which took place at the Colombia Country Club.

Enjoying the swimming pool at the Omni Shore Hotel in Woodley Park.

If you make this picture bigger you can actually get a glimpse of Nicholas' front teeth. He actually has 4 on top and 2 on bottom now.

Hanging out with Grandpa.

Here's a video of Nicholas scooting. He is very close to crawling. He can get up on all fours but hasn't figured out how to move forward yet. We saw the doctor while we were in DC too. Nicholas is 19 pounds and right on track with his development.

This weekend was a busy weekend too. The Ambassador arrived at post so Christy and the other entry level officers had a lunch with her earlier this week and Friday after work she held a reception for the embassy staff at her residence. Then Friday night we attended the American Women's Club annual Country Western Dinner and Dance. No pictures, sorry! Our camera battery has died (it's not recharging properly) so we need to pick up a new one. Saturday night we attended a steak dinner at the Marine House. Now it's Sunday and we are enjoying a quiet relaxing Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to everyone!
